Congratulations to the Grade 5 Girls Tournament Team for being presented with the Runners Up trophy following the championship game in the Ridley tournament. The girls made it to the championship game following 2 victories in the round robin portion vs. Aston and Whitemarsh and a win over host Ridley in the semi-finals. Two of the victories were in overtime! In the championship game the girls came up short vs. a very strong squad from Highland Park but worked very hard right to the end showing that Great Valley spirit! We want to say thank you very much to the parents, family members and friends who came out to cheer the girls on. You certainly made your presence known. The team received a number of great comments from the other coaches, officials, fans from the other teams and tournament directors on how hard they played and the sportsmanship they displayed. The girls are a great reflection of what the Great Valley Basketball League is all about and we congratulate them in making it to the championship game. The teams next attempt at winning a championship is in the Chesco tournament in two weeks.

Cancellation messages for all GVCO-related activities will be posted on the home page of
