The GVBL season for grades 1-8 is right around the corner. To start our season off, we require that players (new and returning) attend one of our skills assessment sessions. These sessions are very important in ensuring that we have fair and balanced teams. Even if your child has played with us for many seasons, we typically do not remember the skill level of your child and therefore we would like to get him or her back in the gym to have a little fun at these assessments.

October 19th - October 29th - Player skills assessments. Download a schedule
Assessments will take place at the GVBL Center, 19 N. Bacton Hill Rd., Malvern, PA.

GVBL is pleased to announce a new team Sponsorship program for the 2015-2016 winter season. This sponsorship will allow local businesses and local families to sponsor a team this season. The second annual Steps4Hope 5k run/walk will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Ridley Creek State Park starting at 9:00am. Proceeds from the Steps4Hope 5k race and all donations received will be matched by a philanthropic fund and will help continue to support, educate and provide desperately needed resources to combat a very significant health crisis in the United States today. This past year, a Great Valley High School senior was awarded the Jonathan Moules Memorial Steps4Hope scholarship for her outstanding leadership and community service in the area of substance use disorders.

The entire community is invited to be a part of this effort and run with purpose in every step. For registration information, please visit

Game dates have been posted with additional season information. Registration for some sections is open for Fall Football and Cheer. Physical, Volunteer and Code of Conduct forms must be on file with the registration coordinator or your child will not be permitted to participate.

The Great Valley Caring Hands group recently held a yard sale and car wash to raise funds for the organization. As is the case with most communities, there are a number of families right here in Great Valley in Need of assistance with necessities like food, clothing and heat. The Caring Hands Foundation "Needy Families Campaign" was organized by the foundations student senior leadership board who is working directly with the social services department at the GVSD.
